The theme of DCLA '09 is Be, Love, Serve, Repeat.
BE: What does a student's life look like when they live in the fullness of the identity that's offered to them through Jesus? At DCLA, we want students to understand what it means that they were created in the image of God. They will discover why the truest thing about them is what God says. Their identity IS security. It IS confidence. It IS clarity.
LOVE: How is God's extravagant love for us lived out in the life of a teenager? How is the attitude and action of Jesus played out at home, school, work and in the community where students live. At DCLA, students will learn how to live out this life of love demonstrated by Jesus and discover how it can come alive in them and change the nature of their relationships.
SERVE: It's not about me, it's about others. It's not about getting, it's about giving. It's not about being first; it's about being last. What does all that mean anyway? Jesus gave us a new way to live, a life of service that breaks all the rules the world has set up and joining into the mission of God as a way of life that not only changes students, but the world they live in.
REPEAT: Self explanatory
