Obtaining access to a White House tour these days is a wee bit tricky. Requests must be submitted through one's Member of Congress and are accepted up to six months in advance. In all of the planning, requesting a tour of the White House took a back seat, until a few weeks ago. It started with a phone call to one Maine Senator's office and ended with a call to different Senator's office. Long story short, we're headed inside the doors to take an up close and personal tour of the White House. We're still waiting to hear the exact day and time but we're in sometime between July 14-17. Be sure to check back during our trip to view pictures of this wonderful opportunity.
